A cannula for infusion of medications for treatment and control of chronic joint pain. Developed with the purpose of facilitating drug infusion with the goal of safely and minimally invasive pain blocking.
Due to arthrosis or inflammatory processes, conventional treatments are not effective in controlling pain, because the inflammatory action inhibits the arrival of the medicine orally taken, in this way, FINE-NEEDLE delivers the drugs directly at the site of the injury, in a safe, effective and minimally invasive manner, giving the patient a great option for the treatment of pain without the need of an invasive surgical procedure.
APPLICATIONS
Facet blocking brings pain relief and improves movement of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacroiliac spine joints, shoulders, wrists, hips, knees, ankles or in any articulation with chronic pain due to degenerative processes caused by aging or postural overload.
Blockade occurs through the infusion of anesthetic, analgesic, corticoid or anti-inflammatory drugs allowing the patient to reduce or eliminate pain, so that the patient can return to normal activities or, if necessary, to regenerative therapies.
Blockade is also used as a diagnostic test in assessing pain to determine whether invasive surgeries are indicated or not.
BLOCKING TEST
FINE-NEEDLE needles are also used for facet blocking diagnosis, which helps the physician identify the exact structure responsible for the pain.
In this way, more invasive surgeries can and should be avoided, and with the identification of the structure causing the pain, new blockages can be directed to this region, or other minimally invasive procedures, such as indication for radiofrequency treatments for example.
